Essential Question	How can you derive formulas for the areas of triangles and parallelograms?
Objective	I will use the formulas for areas of triangles and parallelograms to find the areas of composite figures.
Activity	During Class Time: Go to Buzzmath, open the book for grade 6, go to Geometry and Measurement, start at the top of the list and work through the first 17 activities. Just get as far as you can get. As long as you are working during class, you will not have to finish them for homework. During Testing Time Core Activities: 2nd hour with Sykes, Cramer, or Harguth: work on the 4.3 Enrichment Worksheet worksheet. Extension 4.3 (pages 172-173 examples 1-2) 4.3 Practice--page 173 #1-6 Area Pizzazz Worksheet page D-52
Homework	Finish in-class work
